Rob Silva was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA where he decided to devote his life to the art and science of video games and animation. Before graduating with Honors from the Art Institute of California - Los Angeles' Game Art Program in 2008, Rob was already working at Activision to help create art for video games such as Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Call of Duty 3, Guitar Hero 2, and Tony Hawk's Project 8. Shortly after graduation, Rob was hired as a Game Designer for Rise of the Argonauts created by Liquid Entertainment.
In 2009, Rob became a founding Course Director at the Los Angeles Film School's Animation & VFX program where he has helped students develop their skills in Illustrative Storytelling & Game Art Design. In 2015, he and a team of his graduates created The Walk VR for Sony PlayStation 4 VR devices which won several awards including a CLIO Key Art Award.
In 2016, Rob formed Last Call Games where he and his best graduates released their very first title PROXY on Steam. Later that year, Last Call Games partnered with Portal Zone VR to create exclusive VR content for immersive experiences and music festivals throughout Southern California and Baja Mexico until the Coronavirus Pandemic in 2020.
In 2022, Rob became a full-time faculty member at Los Angeles Trade Technical College in the Design & Media Arts Program.
